Authority Approves $55,000,000 for Blood Systems, Inc.

The Arizona Health Facilities Authority has approved the issuance of $55,000,000 of the Authority's Revenue Bonds for the benefit of Blood Systems, Inc.(BSI) BSI is an Arizona non-profit corporation, incorporated in 1943. BSI operates eighteen community blood centeres to meet the needs of patients in more than 550 hospitals in 12 states.

The proceeds of the Bonds will be used by BSI to (i) refinance existing debt incurred to construct and equip community blood centers and related support facilities, (ii) finance the construction and equipping of additional blood centers and related support facilities, (iii) fund a debt service reserve fund and (iv) pay certain costs of issuance related to the Bonds.
