Authority Approves Application of Southwest Behavioral Health Services

The Arizona Health Facilities Authority approved a bond financing application on behalf of Southwest Behavioral Health Services, Inc. SBH serves the behavioral health needs of persons within Maricopa and Gila counties. SBH serves as the Administrative Service Organization for the Southwest Network, an association of provider agencies throughout Maricopa County serving children and adults with behavioral health needs. SBH owns and operates 45 facilities and leases an additional 15 facilities.

The $5,530,000 bond financing will be used to acquire, construct, improve and equip an approximately 34,000 square foot office building to house various administrative offices and an approximately 11,000 square foot building to house behavioral health programs. The publicly offered bonds will be issued in a single series of variable rate demand obligations. The bonds will have credit and liquidity support from a direct pay letter of credit.
