Overview
In 1999, the Authority established the Arizona Health Assistance
Program. AHAP is designed to provide direct loans ranging
from $50,000 to $150,000 to health care providers in Arizona.
The interest rate is 7% and the term is up to five years.
These loans are available for a broad variety of capital components,
including medical and computer equipment. The Authority can
structure the loans in a variety of ways to meet the needs
of the applicants. The Authority is committed to maintaining
this self sustaining, revolving loan fund as an integral component
of a system designed to leverage public and private resources
for the development of essential health care services.
